Mac FAQ's Adobe Photoshop CS2 Mac Issues An issue has been found with our Mac versions of Screens, Cutline, and EtchTone plug-ins in the CS2 environment. Andromeda is providing, free of charge, a seperate patch to fix these issues. This patch will need to be applied to the plug-in file after it has been installed. More information and a link to download can be found here. All of our other Mac plug-ins will run in Photoshop CS2 however we are still currently in the proccess of testing in this new environment. Any bugs should be forwarded to [email protected]. OS X and Photoshop CS/7 questions: The exiled prince 0.02 mac os. Are your filters compatible with Photoshop CS / 7 running on OS X The Following Filters are OS X compatible: RedEyePro, ScatterLight, LensDoc, VariFocus, Perspective, Screens, Cutline, and Etchtone. The non OS X versions of our Filters will run in Photoshop CS / 7 in 'Classic' mode on OSX. They will not be visible if you are running the Native (OS X) version of Photoshop CS / 7 in OS X. How do I use my Andromeda Filters in Photoshop CS / 7 in OS X ? 1. In OS X, go to the Photoshop Application icon on your hard disk and highlight it. 2. Then in the Finder menu across the top go to File>Get Info>General Information Tab and check the box there that says 'Start in Classic Mode.' 3. The next time you open Photoshop it will open in Classic Mode and all non-carbonized Andromeda filters will be available. 4. When you're finished using our filters or want to return to the Native OS X version of Photoshop CS / 7; highlight the Photoshop CS / 7 application icon again, go back to File>Get Info>General Information Tab and un-check the 'Start in Classic Mode' box. 5. Close and re-open Photoshop. Don't forget to save your work each time you close Photoshop. I just purchased Photoshop CS / 7 and when I installed my Andromeda Filters, they don't show up in my Photoshop Filters Menu. Re-install the filters; during installation when the message 'Found Photoshop on Your System;Install There?' appears, just click on the NO button. A navigation window will appear that will allow you to manually create the path to the Photoshop CS / 7 Plug-ins folder within the Photoshop Application Folders. When will carbonized versions of Andromeda Filters be available? Planning to carbonize will continue throughout the year. Most plug-in companies have been greatly affected by this and we too are going to do our best to bring up all of our Mac products to be OS X compatible as quickly as possible. Demo Downloads I can't download your demos and I am using Safari as my browser. Safari for some reason doesn't download our demos. This is an issue we are currently resolving. In the meantime, try using a different browser (i.e. Netscape or Internet Explorer). I can't get my Mac demo to unstuff correctly. Get the latest version of Stuffit Expander at http://www.aladdinsys.com. I get an error when I try to download Andromeda Filter Demos. Install the Shadow Filter into the Photoshop 6.0 > Plug-ins folder. Open Image Ready (which ships with and installs with Photoshop 6.0). Open Image Ready, open any psd, jpg, or tif image, and select the Shadow Filter from the Filters Menu. Fill in the info and registration number. Image Ready will allow it to serialize, and then it can be used with Photoshop 6.0. NOTE:If you are having this problem with any of our other filters or you are not using Photoshop 6.0, then please refer to other possible solutions 3,4 and 7 in the Installation section above under Both Platforms (MAC & PC) heading. The message that appears during installation:'Photoshop has been found on your system.. would you like to install the filter there?' can be misleading.It's possible that the installer will find another version of Photoshop on your system..other than the version where you expect the filter to be installed.If you have multiple versions of Photoshop on your system, re-install the filter and respond to the Photoshop Auto-install question by clicking on the NO button.A navigation window will appear that will provide you with the capability to manually create a path to the desired Photoshop version's plug-ins folder for filter installation.
